(RUN)

I was introduced to Nightmares On Wax by the same person who told me about Lewis Taylor (thanks Miku). In the past couple of months, I've picked up two albums by the group, and have been amazed both times.

Their second album, 1995's Smoker's Delight, is a slow, sensuous journey through soundscapes influenced by classic soul. The title is very apt, but anyone who enjoys soul music, smoker or not, should enjoy this album.

Tracks to check for: "DreddoverBoard," "Stars," "Groove St." "(Man) Tha Journey," "Mission Venice," and "Rise."

The final verdict: An album to check for. It's perfect for chilling out or as background music when you're doing something else. It's not intrusive at all, but musical, flowing and varied. A valuabe addition to any collection.
