Souls Of Mischief - 93 Til Infinity Jive/Zomba Reviewed By: Rip |

If you haven't heard this album yet, you are missing some of the best hip-hop ever. It's as simple as that. Four amazing MCs from the Hieroglyphics crew come together to destroy microphones.
Honestly, there isn't that much to say about this album because it's just that fat. It opens with "Let 'Em Know," and the sonic assault just continues from there. However, due to Jive's notorious lack of promotional support, the proletariat masses never heard most of this album, and so they were dropped from the label for lack of sales.
Tracks to check for: "93 'Til Infinity," "Let 'Em Know," "That's When Ya Lost," "Never No More" and the rest of the album isn't far behind.
Production duties are handled mostly by Domino (not the one from Ghetto Jam, Hiero's production specialist. Other producers are Del, A-Plus, Casual and Jay Biz.
Lyrically, this album is light years beyond about 90% of the albums released today. A-Plus, Opio, Phesto and Tajai are all talented lyricists in their own right, so putting them together just makes them elevate their game that much more.
The final verdict: One of my favourite albums of all time. An essential addition to everyone's collection. If you like good music of any kind, you'll enjoy this album.
