WARNING!! That crazy Kool Keith is back again. This incarnation is Black Elvis, Dr. Dooom's evil twin brother. Keith, while arguably insane, is without a doubt an immensely talented lyricist. Never one to be tied down to convention, Elvis boast of his sexual prowess on "Supergalactic Lover," talking about rolling in his "monkey-green ragtop Seville."

While many are turned off by Keith's zany sense of humour and at times nonsensical seeming rhymes, Keith succesfully mimics and satirizes everyone's style. From pimped out to the Roger Troutman whine on "Master of the Game," he shows why he can legitimately claim that he was the originator of so many emcees' styles. After all, he's not doing anything that different than his days with Ultramagnetic MC's. Keith is just several decades ahead of most.

Black Elvis departs from his latest trend (if Keith can be said to follow any trends at all) of not having any big name guest artists. This album features the aforementioned Roger Troutman, Sadat X, and Kid Capri.

Production on this album is handled by Live 7 or Nightcrawler with no exception. Despite this, it remains varied, kinetic and never stagnant. Lyrics from Keith are as always on point, although I've heard better outings from Sadat X.

Tracks to check for: "Intro," "Lost In Space," "Livin' Astro," "Master Of The Game," "I'm Seein' Robots," "Static," "Black Elvis," "Keith Turbo," "Fine Girls," (for the Timberland beat lovers)... Oh hell, just go get the album. Every tune is different, but bangin.

The final verdict: All the headz, run out and buy this before anything else this week. To those who don't like innovation, different styles, and just a little insanity for flavour, this one's not for you.
