Another Goodvibe EP, another direct hit. Goodvibe looks to be making a concerted effort to establish a name for themselves as a label producing nothing but the finest hip-hop. The Nuthouse bring raw, unadulterated hip-hop to the table. Their old school sound combined with new school lyricism are a potent combination.

MCs Fel and Az-Iz (the same one from the Outsidaz?) provide skillful, thoughful rhymes throughout the EPs 8 tracks. Their clever wordplay and senses of humour, make even songs like "Yeah," with its extremely simple, repetitive hook work. Guest lyrics are provided by El Da Sensai (formerly of the Artifacts), Sak One, Diamondback of the Deadly Snakes and Planetary. Everyone steps up to pull their weight here - no guest artists stealing the song.

Production is mostly slower paced, but intensely musical. It also fits with the lyrics very well to create an overall sound. Duties are handled by Nex Millen, Adam Bomb, Jahee, Fel the Enigma, and J-Skull.

Many tracks on this EP bump, particularly "Tagz, Throw Ups & Pieces," "Proceed 2 Build," "Correct Technic," "The Proposal," and "Infinite Potential," with its Jeru samples and jazzy horn line.

Primarily an introduction to the Nuthouse, this EP does its job admirably. This album is just straight up good music. If you're looking for something nice and relaxing to vibe to, you could definitely do a lot worse than the Nuthouse.
