Peanut Butter Wolf - My Vinyl Weighs A Ton Copasetik Reviewed By: Rip Verdict ..... RUN |

Unfortunately, only a few of the crate digginest heads know about Peanut Butter Wolf, the production genius behind gems for Rasco, Planet Asia, Lootpack and many others. This brilliant album seeks to remedy that somewhat, and is an incredible example of hip-hop at it's best.
The Wolf's production is always deep, varied and vibrant. It's easy to tell that he loves his music, and takes the time to ensure that everything is just right.
Not being a lyricist and knowing it well enough to stay away from the mic, PBW enlists the help of seriously talented guests to provide foregrounds for his sonic landscapes. Guest lyricists include Planet Asia, the Lootpack, Quasimodo, Rasco, and Kazi.
As if to rub in the fact that this is some serious hip-hop, Peanut Butter also has appearances from many turntablist legends such as Babu, Rhettmatic, Kid Koala, Rob Swift, A Track, Total Eclipse, J Rocc, Shortkut, Cut Chemist, and Qbert.
Tracks to check for: "In Your Area," "Styles Crew Flows Beats," Casio," "Hold Up," "Rock Unorthodox," "Necromancin," "Breaks Em Down," "Tale of Five Cities," "Definition of Ill," "Run The Line," "Mobbin," "Competition Gets None," and "Interruptions."
The final verdict: Make SURE you get a listen to this brilliant piece of hip-hop. Finally, an artist who doesn't ignore the varied sides of the culture. This album is probably the best producer's compilation to date, simply because it explores all of his skills.
