In the last several years, Toronto has come into it's own as a legitimate hip-hop centre. While the movement was started by artists like Maestro Fresh Wes (now just Maestro), and Michie Mee, one of the individuals most responsible for artists in the States giving us the respect we deserve is Saukrates. One of the hardest working men in hip-hop, he is behind much of the music for his crew, "The Circle." Now, finally, this musical genius (there are so many elements he does on his own, from production to singing hooks, to playing instruments to lyrics) has released an album for the heads other than DJs to cop.

Let's get one thing out of the way early. Most of the material on this album is older and many of you have probably heard it already. Nevertheless, it stands the test of time for the most part. However, I personally prefer the original of "Innovations" to the remix on this album and the alternate mix of "Rollin'" That said, this is still an album worth the time and money.

Lyrically, Saukrates is quite strong, and he also can make a legitimate claim to be Canada's superproducer. It's no suprise that most of the material on this album is so solid. Guest lyricists include Xzibit, O.C., Heltah Skeltah, Common, Pharoahe Monch and T-dot's own Choclair

Tracks to check for: "Can't Touch Us," "Money Or Love," "Professional," "Keep It Movin'," "Fineline," "Play Dis '99," "Body Language," "Ultimate Rush," and "Suga Daddy."

The final verdict: A solid collection of older material along with a couple of new tracks. A good addition to heads' collections.
